Meet Our Superintendent

Pastor Chuck was elected by the Louisiana District Church of the Nazarene to serve as their District Superintendent at the 2014 District Assembly.  He and his wife Marsha reside in Alexandria, Louisiana where the district office is located.  He was born in Tennessee and grew up overseas on the mission field. He spent most of his formative years in the countries of Panama and Barbados. After graduating from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, he completed his Master’s Degree at Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana, where he was awarded the prestigious Clyde W. Meadows Church Administration Award (the highest honor, given each year to one graduate student, excelling in church administration) and then to Capella University where he has completed all but two of the classes to complete his PHD in Administration of Non-profits. Chuck was confered the Doctor of Divinity degree by Southern Nazarene University in 2018.

He is a graduate of the School of Large Church Management (tract 3) sponsored by the Church of the Nazarene, the Master’s Plan For Making Disciples sponsored by the Cali, Columbia Casa de Oracion (House of Prayer) Church of the Nazarene and is certified as a pastoral mentor / coach by the Leading to Serve organization, personally trained by Dr. Tom Nees, as a part of a pilot program for the denomination.

The Fountains have two children; Chip and Heather both of whom are married and each of them have children. They have five wonderful grandchildren Avery, Liam, Casey, Callum and Evangeline.

Pastor Chuck pastored for 35 plus years in Greenville, SC; Baltimore, MD; Bluffton, IN; and congregations in North Carolina and Alabama

Pastor Chuck loves to travel and meet new people.  He is passionately multi-cultural and missional.
